21 Year Old Dan Carter's Magic All Black Debut

Dan Carter’s made his All Black debut in 2003 against Wales in Hamilton. It was a performance which set the tone for the rest of his illustrious career, exhibiting the skill and mastery of backline play for which he has always been known.

Although his role evolved into that of a fly-half, Carter debuted in the number 12 channel, alongside legendary talisman All Black Carlos Spencer.

The 21 year old left the field with a personal tally of 20 points in a game which saw New Zealand deal out a crushing defeat to the Welsh of 55-3.
