6 Nations team of the tournament

6 Nations team of the tournament
1. Jack McGrath

A real bright spark for Ireland in this years Championship. Scrummaged well and managed to get himself on the end of a couple of tries. One of the first names on Joe Schmidt's team sheet.

2. Guihelm Guirado

Stood out for les Blues in a campaign to forget for France. Captained his side with honour and even got over the whitewash twice.

3. WP Nel

Scotland's scrum has improved and Nel is a key reason why. Has steadied the ship at tighthead and caused real problems for opponents

4. Maro Itoje

A total athlete. Looks like he belongs in this England side since his debut. His physicality and work at the set piece is phenomenal. Contender for player of the tournament.

5. George Kruis

The Itoje + Kruis duo was a masterstroke by Eddie Jones. Stealing 33 line outs overall in the whole tournament, Kruis was a constant thorn in the oppositions side.  Bagged himself a try vs Scotland and was probably the best player on the pitch vs France.

6. Chris Robshaw

How a change of a shirt number has rejuvenated his England career. Has bounced back really well since the World Cup, work rate round the pitch exceptional and carried well.

7. CJ Stander

We know he is a 6 but we couldn't leave Stander out. The wait for Stander into the Ireland team must have been worth it for Irish fans. A man of the match performance on his debut, great ball carrying and excellent work at the breakdown. Also crossed the whitewash a few times which is always a plus.

8. Billy Vunipola

A great shout for player of the tournament. Devastating at times when he rampaged forward and seemed to always make it over the gain line. His performance against Ireland was fantastic and he has put himself 1st on Eddie Jones team sheet in the future with performances in this years championship

9. Ben Youngs

A toss up between Youngs and Care but Young's performances against Ireland and Wales give him an edge. Controlled the game well from scrum half, box kicked well and is improving his attacking side. Gave England something different off the bench in Paris.

10. Dan Biggar

Probably not hit his best form in this years Championship but still his class shone through. Controlled games well and got Wales back in the game against England.

11. George North

Starting to show some of his best form. Looked electric going forward and has added that clinical try scoring side into his game again. 4 tries in 4 consecutive games ain't too shabby!

12. Owen Farrell

Farrell has shown great maturity in this years Championship. Moulded into the 12 shirt well and that option as a 2nd playmaker worked well for England. Kicked well off the tee and in play also.

13. Jonathan Davies

A decent return for the Welsh centre back from injury. Looked dangerous at times and seemed back to his best against Italy. Campagnaro and Joesph unlucky to miss out.

14. Anthony Watson

Any time Watson was on the ball he looked dangerous. Pace to burn and is adding a clinical side to his game. 3 tries in his last 3 games all at crucial times.

15. Stuart Hogg

Hogg just keeps on improving. Such a key player for Scotland now, showed a great skill set through out the Championship and scored some important tries.
