Adam Warren extends Dragons contract

Adam Warren extends Dragons contract

Adam Warren is the latest Dragons player to extend his stay, he follows Hallam Amos, Brok Harris, Nic Cudd, Rynard Landman, Ed Jackson and skipper Lewis Evans who all signed extensions recently.

Warren made his debut in 2015 against Connacht and recently made his 50th appearance for the Dragons.

His new contract sees him stay in Newport until 2019.

He has also represented Wales under-20s and Wales 7's and made his senior Wales debut in 2012 against the Barbarians in 2012.

Warren had this to say:

"There are a lot of talented players in the squad that I enjoy playing with, but we really need to show more of what we are capable of on a regular basis and kick on in the league. As a young squad, we have plenty of ambition to become successful both as a team and individuals.”

“The fans are great and add a huge amount of excitement to our home games, creating a good atmosphere for the squad as well as a tough place for the opposition to play.”

Kingsley Jones, Dragons’ Head Coach, commented on the deal:

“Adam has been an excellent addition to the Dragons squad since joining in 2015. He is at a very good stage in his career and I'm sure we are yet to see the best of Adam who has already represented Wales.”

Jones added: “Adam is very versatile player which allowed him to play in every single game for the Men of Gwent last season, emphasising what a valuable member of our playing squad he is.

“He is often our best player no matter which position he is selected, and always gives everything in training and on the field of play.”
