Akker van der Merwe signs with Sharks
The Sharks have secured the signing of Lions' hooker Armand van der Merwe on a two-year deal.
Van der Merwe featured in the Lions Super Rugby final coming off the bench to replace Malcolm Marx in the 65th minute.
The man more commonly known as Akker made his 50th Super Rugby appearance for the Lions in the final and represented the Barbarians last November.
In 2015 the 26-year-old had a short stint with Racing 92 in the Top 14.
