Edinburgh’s last hopes of securing a place in next season’s European Champions Cup slipped away at BT Murrayfield on Saturday when they lost 23-36 to Leinster, but coach Alan Solomons admitted afterwards that the defeat could prove to be a blessing in disguise for his injury-depleted squad.
