Andrew Foster signs up with Yorkshire Carnegie

Tighthead prop Andrew Foster will make the short trip up the M1 after joining Yorkshire Carnegie from Rotherham Titans.

The 24-year-old spent last season at the Titans having previously played at Newcastle Falcons and Blaydon RFC in National One, where he was a member for 14 years.

Newcastle-born, Andrew made his Premiership debut for his hometown club in April 2015 against Saracens and his European Rugby Challenge Cup debut against Brive in January 2016.

He said: "It is going to be a good opportunity for me and I am excited to get in and work hard with the boys to see how high we can finish.

"It was a tough year with Rotherham last season but a massive learning curve and a chance for me to play at next level up.

"I had a good experience in the Academy at Newcastle but this year has exposed me to senior rugby and I have learnt a lot from that.

"It was a test of character as well. Going in on a Monday morning has been hard at times but you have to learn that mentality as a professional player to keep going and hopefully I can put that experience to good use now."
