Andrew Smith Extends Brumbies Stay

Brumbies have announced the re-signing of utility back Andrew Smith for the 2018 Super Rugby season.

The 32-year old has spent seven seasons with the Brumbies over two stints, playing for both Irish Province Munster in the Pro12 and French outfit Montpellier in the Top 14 in between.

Smith made his debut for the Brumbies in 2010 and has gone on to make 65 appearances for the side, scoring 30 points.

A hard runner with a strong defensive pedigree, Smith will continue add experience and versatility to an already sharp Brumbies backline.

Smith’s ability to cover multiple backline positions, he has played for the Brumbies in both centre positions and on the wing, will be a luxury for incoming Head Coach Dan McKellar.
