Anglo-Welsh Cup Highlights: Bristol Rugby Vs Sale Sharks (Round 2)

A thrilling encounter in which Bristol emerge as deserved 15-point victors. What a superb game it was as Bristol, currently without a win in the campaign so far, dominated throughout and led for over 70 minutes of the game. A poor kicking game coupled with a lack of discipline really cost the visitors this afternoon, as their mounting penalty count was clinically capitalised by Bristol. But let's not take that away from the superb Bristol performance, whereby the power of the forwards and the expert running moves of the backs proved too much for the Sale defence. Debutant, Jason Woodward, was immense throughout and thoroughly deserved of both his early first-half try and MOTM nomination.
