Anthony Watson ruled out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury

Bath Rugby can confirm that Anthony Watson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury.

The fullback suffered the injury towards the end of the first half during England’s 24-15 defeat against Ireland at Twickenham on Saturday.

“Anthony has been in superb form this year, and we’re obviously really disappointed to have lost him at a critical part of the season," said Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder.

“However, he in great hands here with the support of the medical team here at Bath Rugby, and we will be working to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible .”
