Aviva Premiership Highlights: Leicester Tigers Vs Northampton Saints (Round 10)

Leicester Tigers ran out 16-11 victors over the Northampton Saints in this AVIVA Premiership derby clash from Welford road. Leicester started brightly scoring a penalty and a converted try after just 15 minutes, taking advantage of the fact that Luther Burrell has been sent to the sin bin for a high tackle. Leicester were 13-11 to the good going into the break. The second half was scrappy with neither side really able to assert their dominance. Both sides had high penalty counts and an alarming number of unforced errors. Man of the match Burns scored the only points of the second half with a well-taken penalty at the 69 minute mark. From then Northampton were unable to remain composed and attack the Leicester defence. Overall a good result for Leicester but both sides have a lot of things to work on in training before their next games.
