Toulon's president, Mourad Boudjellal, has confirmed that Japanese international fullback Ayumu Goromaru will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old was one of Japan's stand-out players in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, starring in his sides 34-32 victory over South Africa. Goromaru has yet to recapture his form at Toulon and has only played in 5 matches for the club 4 of which he started.

The fullback joined Toulon from Super Rugby side the Reds, having represented Japanese side Yamaha Jubilo, the club he is rumoured to return to.
