Bedford Blues snap up Harry Davies

Bedford Blues have added further Premiership quality to their back line with the signing of Welsh outside back Harry Davies.

Davies, 24, whose preferred position is full back but can also play 13 and wing, has signed on for the Goldington Road club on a short-term deal having spent the past two seasons with Bath.

Speaking about the signing, Blues director of rugby Mike Rayer said: "I'm delighted that we have been able to add Harry to the ranks at Bedford Blues. He is a quality player who has an impressive skillset and will fit straight in with our style of play.

"Given our current injury situation it’s a great opportunity for Harry to come in and re-ignite his career and obviously when the other lads are back to fitness we will have even greater competition and depth in our backline."

Davies started his rugby career at Llantrisant RFC before joining the Cardiff Blues academy at the age of 17.

Whilst at the Blues Academy, Harry played for the Blue and Blacks of Cardiff, making his debut against Llandaff, going on to make a total of 26 appearances and scoring eight tries.
