In the end, the try wouldn't have made much of a difference as Nathan Hughes scored a brace as Wasps edged away from the relegation battle by beating Worcester Warriors 28-16.
Winger Marcus Watson and prop Zurabi Zhvania added to Hughes' opener, with the Warriors - who remain three points clear of Newcastle - were unable to build on Sam Lewis' response before halftime.
