British & Irish Lions Squad Details

Warren Gatland will reveal his British & Irish Lions squad to tour New Zealand today at 12pm. As the final selection meeting took place last night, all speculation will end in a few hours.

With some big-name absentee's expected, Gatland is likely to select his tried and tested stalwarts that have served him well in the past. Including Roberts, Davies & a host of Six Nations winners.

England's Kyle Sinckler & Ben Te'o are likely to be named among the squad, while it is widely expected that Sam Warburton will captain the side for another tour.

Dylan Hartley is likely to become the 3rd successive England captain to miss out on selection. Hartley was named in the original touring party for the Test series victory over Australia 2013 but missed the tour after receiving an 11-week ban.

Gatland is likely name up to 40 players, just four fewer than Sir Clive Woodward took to New Zealand on the 2005 trip to NZ.

John Spencer, the British & Irish Lions tour manager, will reveal the chosen players for the ten match tour of New Zealand this summer. The first game kicks off on June 3 as Warren faces off against his son, Bryn, in the series opener.
