Springboks hooker Schalk Brits has confirmed that he will play for the Stormers in the 2019 Super Rugby tournament.
The 37-year-old hooker retired earlier this year after nine seasons at English club Saracens, but a shock call-up to the Springbok squad saw him put his post-rugby plans on hold.
Brits last test appearances had been against USA at the 2015 World Cup before coming off the bench against England at Newlands in June, to earn his 11th cap.
Brits travelled around with the Bok squad during the Rugby Championship despite not being contracted to any club or franchise.
Brits returns to the side he represented between 2006 and 2009.

However, Brits has now revealed that he will play for the Stormers next season in the hope of making South Africa’s World Cup squad later in the year.
The Bulls were rumoured to be the other South African franchise interested in signing the former Saracens hooker but he revealed to Netwerk24 that he will be joining the Stormers.
‘I’m definitely not here for the money. I want to add value on and off the field,’ he told Netwerk24.com.
‘I want to push hard for a spot in the team and give the coaches a headache about who they are going to pick.’
