Waikato win the Championship and by default go back into the Premiership next season. When you look at the game, it was a relatively simple victory in the end. Waikato starved Otago of any ball, and as a result Otago made countless errors and gave away too many penalties through pure pressure. Waikato made the score more dominant in the second half and never really looked in trouble. They can be proud of that performance
