Cipriani in high demand

English flyhalf Danny Cipriani appears to be on the radar of several clubs who would prefer to see his signature on one of their contracts than anyone else’s.

Cipriani announced in December that he would be leaving Gloucester for whom he had earned 44 caps between 2018 and 2020.

The 33 year-old said at the time that he was sad to leave the Cherry & Whites but was excited about the challenges that lay ahead.

It has been reported that Premiership teams Bath and Newcastle Falcons are competing for Cipriani’s services while French Top 14 heavyweights Clermont are also in the race.

While his career has often been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, Cipriani has displayed immense talent when on his game and may still have plenty to offer. It is not clear yet in which direction he is leaning, though an announcement is expected soon.
