A masterclass of a second half performance by Clermont saw them thrash Agen 67-23 in the opening round of the French Top 14. Clermont crossed for two first half tries to one, but Agen kept the scoreboard ticking over with three penalties to one giving them a slender 16-15 lead at the break. Clermont started fast and furious in the second half and were relentless throughout the final forty minutes as they ran in a whopping eight second half tries to seal a resounding victory.
