Compensation a long road for former players who have to live with the effects of concussion

The World Surfing League (WSL) postponed the Maui Pro Championship last week after a shark attack in the Honolua Bay area where the first competition of the year was due to take place. The victim of the attack died in hospital after being given CPR when he was brought ashore in an unconscious state. However, the tournament was still expected to take place this weekend. I suppose the surfers can't say that they didn't know that there were man-eating sharks in the water at the same time as they were participating in their sport.
