Cory Jane relieved after injury scare
Cory Jane told his Twitter followers “I think I dodged a bullet” after his ankle injury proved to be worse than initially feared.

Jane limped off playing for the New Zealand Barbarians in their win over the Maori All Blacks on Saturday.

Coming a day after New Zealand lose Waisake Naholo to a serious leg injury, the timing looked to be incredibly poor for head coach Steve Hansen.

Jane however gave Hansen a lift with the news that he only suffered a sprain and should be back in action sooner rather than later.

He tweeted: "As bad as it was it's only a nasty ankle sprain and nothing serious. Time to rehab, heal and pray.”

Jane started in the last Rugby World Cup final when New Zealand were crowned champions and has won 53 caps since his debut in 2008.
