David Smith on French World Cup hit list

Former Hurricanes and Blues winger David Smith has been included in the French Rugby Federation's hit list of foreign players for next year's World Cup.
Smith, who now plays for French Top 14 club Toulon, is joined by fellow Taranaki representative Brock James on the 10-man list of "foreign players potentially eligible" for Phillipe Saint-Andres's squad.
Smith has lived in France since 2011 and will qualify for Les Bleus on residency grounds, but will first need to play for in an Olympic sevens event to then be eligible for the World Cup in England.
