Dylan Hartley dropped for World Cup after latest breach of discipline


Stuart Lancaster’s patience with Dylan Hartley has finally snapped.

With trust
eroded and the World Cup regulations making it impossible for the head coach
to select a suspended player for the tournament, Hartley was dropped from
the England squad yesterday.



Lancaster has always stood by the Northampton Saints captain, convinced that
he could help to smooth out the rough edges of his character that keep
landing him in trouble, but the latest incident proved one too many.
