Engjel Makelara signs for Bennetton

Benetton Rugby have signed hooker Engjel Makelara from Petrarca Rugby for the 2017/18 season.

Makelara spent time with Bassano Rugby and went on to represent the U17 Italy side, along with future teammate Sperandio.

In 2014 he was called into the Italy under 20 side but had to pull out of the Junior World Championship due to injury.

He was selected in the U20 side for the 2016 Six Nations tournament.

Last season he moved to Petrarca Rugby and made 12 appearances, scoring one try.
