Ford on Faletau

Bath head coach Mike Ford has delivered an update on the future of Taulupe Faletau, saying any potential move to the Recreation Ground rests with the Welsh Rugby Union.

Faletau’s future has been up in the air since he missed the deadline to sign a National Dual Contract last season.

The Newport Gwent Dragons number eight has long been linked with a move to Bath, who seemingly made space in their squad with the departure of Carl Fearns to Lyon in recent weeks.

Ford hinted the recruitment was still ongoing for last season’s Premiership finalists who have enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of the standings.

"Nothing is sorted out and we won't say anything else until he has signed. It's in the Welsh Rugby Union's hands and we'll see where that goes,” Ford said to BBC Radio Bristol.

"Recruitment never stops - we are looking at other players as well for this season. We're nearly finished but one or two more would be good."
