Leinster confirmed the news this morning that the 28 year old flanker has been forced into retirement due to concussion.

After joining Leicester Tigers in 2017, the former Leinster man only managed 4 appearances before being stood down for 12 weeks in October due to concussion. His final Tigers appearance came in January 2018 against Castres.

Ryan made a single appearance for Ireland, coming against Georgia in 2014 and made over 100 appearances for Leinster.
