France Makes Four Changes for Australia Test

The French national rugby team's coaching staff has opted for four changes to the starting XV for the match against Australia, blending continuity with new personnel. These changes are aimed at bolstering the team's physical presence and central experience ahead of the game.

This fixture marks the final match of the Autumn Series and the last team selection for Head Coach Fabien Galthié and his staff. In the second row, Thibaud Flament returns to the number 4 jersey, taking the place of Cameron Woki. Notably, the powerful Emmanuel Meafou, renowned for his size and impact, replaces Romain Taofifenua at number 5.

A further significant move sees Charles Ollivon return to his familiar role at flanker, moving to the side of the scrum. The Toulon captain's return to the back row brings invaluable experience, leadership, and a real boost to the team's driving power and breakdown work.

The final adjustment is in the backline: Gaël Fickou regains his starting spot at inside centre, replacing Pierre-Louis Barassi. Fickou, with his exceptional game reading, defensive strength, and experience in high-stakes matches, will reinforce a backline that performed strongly in the previous Test.
