Connacht Rugby announce signing of out half David Horwitz

Connacht Rugby have announced the signing of 23-year-old out-half David Horwitz from Australian Super Rugby side the Rebels.

Horwitz has previously been capped at out-half for Australia at U20 level in 2014 and for the Australian School Boys in 2011 and 2012. Full story

Cook Islands replace Tahiti in RWC qualifying after Tahiti fielded ineligible players


World Rugby has concluded an investigation on Tahiti Rugby Union after they fielded ineligible players in their Rugby World Cup 2019 qualifier against the Cook Islands.

Munster appoint NFL coach to head up Athletic Performance

Munster Rugby and the IRFU have appointed Denis Logan as the province’s new Head of Athletic Performance. Denis will commence his role at the beginning of May.

Currently working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, Denis has worked with elite athletes for over a decade.

Alex Day and Kyle Moyle re-sign for Cornish Pirates

The Cornish Pirates have announced the Alex Day and Kyle Moyle as their first two players to receive contract extensions for next season.

Essex-born scrum-half Day, aged 25, has signed a one-year contract while Moyle is a product of the Pirates youth section and joins the club on a two-year deal.

Larmour ruled out of Champions Cup clash with Saracens

Jordan Larmour has been ruled out of Leinster's Champions Cup Quarter-Final with Saracens in Dublin next Sunday.

The Grand-Slam winner had been expected to play a prominent role against the double European champions but a leg injury will see him spend three weeks recovering on the sidelines.

Ben Mosses & James Tyas commit to London Scottish for next season

London Scottish has confirmed that centre Ben Mosses & back rower James Tyas have re-signed with the club ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Ex-Bristol & Bath Rugby man Mosses has made eighteen appearances for the Scots this season, while Tyas has been a versatile cog in the Scottish pack this season, playing all across the back row and second row. 

Ospreys sign Georgian captain Nemsadze

Ospreys Rugby have today completed the signing of Georgian skipper Giorgi Nemsadze on a short-term deal that runs until the end of the season.

First capped by the Lelos in 2005, 33-year old Nemsadze has 81 caps for Georgia, scoring 13 tries.
