Karmichael Hunt re-signs with Reds & Wallabies

Wallabies back Karmichael Hunt has re-signed until the end of 2019, after putting pen to paper on a two year deal with Rugby Australia and the Queensland Reds.

Hunt became the 48th dual code Australia International earlier this year, after making his Wallabies debut against Fiji in Melbourne.

The 30-year old now has five Test caps to his name, to add to his 11 appearances for Australia in Rugby League as well as 10 games of State of Origin for Queensland.

Australian Sevens Squad named for Dubai

Two debutants join Aussie Men’s Sevens squad to kick off massive year of Rugby Sevens

The Australian Men’s Sevens team has been named for the HSBC Sevens World Series leg in Dubai with the latest signings to the team, Maurice Longbottom and Ben O’Donnell to earn their first Australian Sevens caps.

Longbottom was confirmed with the Australian Sevens program until the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games this week and his fine form in pre-season has been rewarded with selection in round one.

Melbourne Rebels confirm coaching staff for 2018

New Rebels coach Dave Wessels has dragged three key coaches east, naming former Force assistant Joe Barakat, Kevin Foote and Shaun Berne as three of his four assistants for 2018.

The announcement finalises the rugby department at the Rebels for 2018, having already secured the highly sought after signature of Wessels and General Manager Professional Rugby and Pathways Nick Ryan.

They have also retained Head Physiotherapist Cullan Ball, Head Performance Analyst Eoin Toolan, Assistant Performance Analyst John Batina, and Strength and Conditioner Shane Lehane.
