Following the two Super Rugby matches today we take a look at who performed for their respective sides:

Shannon Frizell

A hattrick hero against the Blues, Frizell put in a sublime shift for the Highlanders as they claimed their 4th consecutive win over the Blues.

The busy flanker set up the Highlanders last try of the match and made 7 carries, 8 tackles and 1 turnover.

 


Rieko Ioane


Ioane was back on the wing for the Blues and was extremely effective for the Blues on attack as he topped the running metres (101). 

He also recorded a tied match-high of 7 defenders beaten and made 3 offloads.

Rob Thompson

Another great game for Thompson against the Blues. 

The inform centre made the most of the Highlanders limited possession making 59 running metres beating 2 defenders and made 3 clean breaks. 

He was solid in defence making all 6 of his attempted tackles and won 1 turnover.

Malcolm Marx 

Marx had another outstanding game for the Lions and was a menace at the breakdown and solid at set pieces.

The busy hooker made 4 turnovers, carried the ball 9 times and made 60 running metres beating 3 defenders and collecting 3 clean breaks.

Madosh Tambwe

A real rising star for the Lions, Madosh Tambwe has taken got on the scoresheet yet again for the Lions, when he finished off a well-worked team try. 

The young winger made 74 running metres (second highest total in the clash) beat 3 defenders and made 3 clean breaks.
