Gloucester Rugby side for Derby Weekend fixture at sold-out Kingsholm
- 180
With a sold-out Kingsholm set to provide a fitting backdrop for Derby Weekend, Gloucester Rugby have named their side to face Bath Rugby in the Gallagher PREM, as the league leaders look to continue their impressive start to the campaign.
The Cherry & Whites are forced into a change at hooker, with Club Captain, Dewi Lake, unavailable through injury. Val Rapava Ruskin, Seb Blake and Ciaran Knight pack down in the front row, while Jean Kleyn and Arthur Clark continue their established second-row partnership.
In Lake's absence, fellow Welsh international Jac Morgan takes on the captaincy from the back row. He is joined by Freddie Thomas and Jack Clement.
Caolan Englefield and Charlie Atkinson combine at half-back, with Max Llewellyn and Will Joseph lining up in midfield. The back three sees Will Knight and Ollie Thorley start on the wings, with George Barton selected at full-back.
Among the replacements, Gloucester favourite Lewis Ludlow is set for an appearance in his testimonial match. Jack Innard, Dian Bleuler, Afo Fasogbon and Will Trenholm provide the forward reinforcements, while Dan Robson, Max Knight and Ben Redshaw offer cover across the backline.
