Gloucester come away with a huge upset under their new headcoach Johan Ackermann at Kingsholm. The reigning champs struggled to get hold of the game tonight at Kingsholm as Gloucester kept fighting back in the first half. A yellow card & HIA for the star man Steenson saw Exeter struggle to take hold of game in attack as Gloucester became more in control. First half tries from lock Thrush alongside Ben Morgan's second half try set the game up for a grandstand finish locked at 21-21. Momentum seemed to have swung as Woodburn grabbed a late try for the Chiefs but Woodward stole the show & scored with the last place of the game. Absolute cracker to kick off the new season.
