Heathcote sidelined for three weeks with concussion

Tom Heathcote will be targeting a return to action in November for Worcester Warriors as he battles back from another bout of concussion.

The Scottish international has not played since being taken off in Warriors’ 41-10 thrashing by Exeter Chiefs last month and the Premiership outfit have confirmed the 25-year-old faces a further three weeks on the sidelines.

It was the third time in less than 12 months that Heathcote had sustained a bang to the head as he missed a large chunk of last season due to concussion.

Heathcote is expected to miss Warriors’ European Challenge Cup clashes against Brive on Saturday (3pm) and Connacht the following Saturday.

He is also likely to be unavailable for Worcester’s trip to Harlequins in the Premiership on Saturday, October 28.

He could return for their Anglo-Welsh Cup opener against Sale Sharks on Friday, November 3.
