Henry Slade offered chance to make case for Stuart Lancaster

Stuart Lancaster will get an early chance to work with ten of his World Cup
squad players, having named them in the England squad to play the Barbarians
at Twickenham on Sunday.



Lancaster’s squad for the Barbarians fixture gives him the opportunity to try
some combinations and positional selections that could inform his thoughts
for the autumn.



Henry Slade, the Exeter Chiefs back, is one of the ten selected and it would
be a surprise if he was not given the chance to play at inside centre, which
remains England’s problem position.
