Connacht and Ireland flyhalf Jack Carty is set to miss the upcoming tour to New Zealand as he recovers from recent wrist surgery.

He is a significant loss for Ireland after some noteworthy performances in recent times. The 29 year-old took to social media, saying the following:

"Disappointed my season ends here but what a great opportunity to come back bigger and better next season."
