Kenningham has joined the ranks of players to have graduated through the Club’s academy and immediately established themselves as regular first-team players, alongside the likes of Fin Baxter, George Hammond and Sam Riley.

the 23-year-old has scored three tries across his 36 Club appearances to date and re-signs today off the back of a return to fitness in the team’s fizzing 40-5 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Big Game 14 on Saturday.

Growing up playing locally to The Stoop at Richmond RFC, Kenningham’s first ever appearance at Twickenham Stadium came at a young age, playing in a minis tournament before one of the first Big Game events at the home of English rugby.

Commenting on his new deal, Kenningham said: “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than at this club and I’m delighted to have signed a new deal with my boyhood team.

“Quins do things in a way no one else can and it’s genuinely so enjoyable to be able to play the Harlequins Way, which is so strongly connected to the DNA and history of the Club.

“I already have some fantastic memories and have enjoyed some amazing days over the last two and a half seasons and I can’t wait to make many more with this group.”

Harlequins Lineout and Defence Coach Jerry Flannery said: “It’s great to have Kenners signed up on a new deal. He’s had an impressive rise over the last three seasons and has proved himself to be a huge asset to the team.

“Earning involvement in an England training camp at the end of his debut season, in particular, is a testament to how well he has taken his opportunities.

“His versatility across the backrow is so valuable to the team and it’s always pleasing to see a homegrown product go on to become a raring success within the first team. We’re delighted to be able to continue watching him pull on the jersey and do his thing for his boyhood side.”
