Wallabies wing Jack Maddocks is set to fly back to Sydney after tearing ligaments in his left hand, which rules him out of Saturday’s Test against Argentina.
The 21-year-old broke his finger training on Tuesday morning in South Africa but pushed through the pain in Australia’s loss to the Springboks on Saturday.
Wallabies hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau was also ruled out of the upcoming Pumas fixture and was sent back to England to rehabilitate his injured hamstring. Tolu Latu will meet the Wallabies in Buenos Aires where they will be based for the first half of the week before traveling north to Salta.
Australia will be looking to rebound after their eighth loss from 10 starts dating back to the England match in November last year.
