Jake Turnbull joins Seawolves frontrow squad

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Jake Turnbull was signed to the Houston SaberCats in 2018 where he played for two seasons and served as a youth development coach in their player pathway program. In 2021 he signed with Old Glory DC, and in 2022 with the Austin Gilgronis where he was featured in the documentary “Inside The Scrum.” In the 2022 Season, Turnbull became the eighteenth player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches.


Before joining MLR, Turnbull played with the Glendale Merlins at Infinity Park and led the team to a win in the 2015 Pacific Rugby Premiership Championship. At the national level, he played with the USA Selects, the secondary national rugby team for the United States, and boasts two caps.

Turnbull was selected by the Seawolves in the 2022 MLR Dispersal Draft.
