Japan and HK lead the way at Asian Games
Japan and Hong Kong men's teams were set on a collision course at the Asian Games 2014, in Incheon, Korea as they both breezed to emphatic victories in their opening pool matches on Tuesday.
Defending champions Japan showed they would not give up their crown easily despite not having been at their best in the ARFU Asian Sevens Series this year.
This was perhaps understandable given the influx of new players into the squad only last week from the professional Japanese Top League, Brave Blossoms’ captain Michael Leitch, a Sevens veteran of old, being among their number.
