Joe Cokanasiga sidelined by serious knee injury

Bath winger Joe Cokanasiga faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a knee injury he sustained during England's World Cup campaign.

Cokanasiga, who only featured once for Eddie Jones' side in Japan, started the pool stage win over the United States, scoring two tries.

“Joe is a phenomenal talent and a powerful athlete, and we must manage him very carefully in the coming months to allow for the issues he has come back from Japan with to begin to be resolved," said Stuart Hooper.

Bath also confirmed that Henry Thomas suffered season-ending ACL injury during the Premiership round three clash against Wasps on 2nd November.

Back row Zach Mercer is also set to see a specialist to determine the extent of the knee injury he sustained in the Champions Cup defeat by Ulster on Saturday.
