John Barclay agrees to join Edinburgh Rugby

Scotland captain John Barclay has agreed to join Edinburgh from Scarlets from next season.

Capped 64 times by Scotland, the 31-year-old has been with the Welsh region since leaving Glasgow Warriors in 2013, and captained them to the Pro12 title last year.

Barclay was first called-up to the Scotland squad in October 2004, at the age of just 18, by then-head coach Matt Williams.

He made his Test debut in the 2007 World Cup defeat by New Zealand.
