John Mitchell set for Stormers berth
According to multiple reports, former All Blacks coach John Mitchell is in line to take charge of the Stormers ahead of the 2016 Super Rugby season. The Stormers pre season plans have taken a mild hiccup after losing head coach Eddie Jones just 3 weeks into the job as he opted to take charge of England instead.
Follow his stint as All Black head coach between 2002 & 2004, Mitchell went on to coach the Western Force & the Golden Lions in Super Rugby which will mean the return to Super Rugby should not phase him if he does put pen to paper.
Multiple news outlets are reporting that Mitchell's (51) deal is close to completion and this could still leave the Stormers with an abundance of time to prepare for the new Super Rugby season. Mitchell will be looking to bring the Stormers further this season after falling to the Brumbies in last year's quarter final even though they had topped their conference.
