England have recovered from their opening loss to Scotland by beating Italy and Wales.

Ireland, meanwhile, easily beat Wales before they went down fighting to France in Paris - the only team still in the hunt for the Grand Slam.

"There are three teams that can win it now and we are one of those three teams," said Jones. "So we’ve got a lot more belief than the three teams that can’t win it.

"We’re in a good position. We’re in charge of our own destiny. Ireland have been going well.

"We’ve just got to keep playing better, keep improving every game. We don’t fear anyone.

"We’ve only been going since the summer of last year on this New England. We don’t have to be at our best until the 2023 World Cup.

"So it’s incremental, it’s building, it’s going in the right direction. We don’t need quantum leaps and jumps. We just need to keep progressing in the right direction."

Ireland boss Andy Farrell has claimed that the elements that made the Red Rose so effective under Jones remain in place.

"Well, everyone knows how difficult it is to go to Twickenham anyway, so we know that we'll need to be at our best," said Farrell. "There's no saying it any other way, is there really?

"Two teams that have to win to stay in contention for the competition says it all."

"...It's that DNA that Eddie has had at England for the whole time that he's been there, which is that they're very good set-piece wise, they're very good at spoiling your set-piece and they're always tenacious in the carry and their line speed.

"Obviously (scrum coach) Richard Cockerill will bring his own piece to the party there.

"I know (attack coach) Martin Gleeson well and I know that he'll try and add a little bit of spark here, there and everywhere in the attack.

"They had a couple of new half-backs playing at the weekend so they'll be better off for that game.

"Obviously a big game at Twickenham, everyone knows that there's a lot on the line, so they're going to be really up for that - just as we are."
