Jordie Barrett set to snub three Super Rugby franchises - reports

All Blacks utility back Jordie Barrett looks set to snub multiple offers from other New Zealand franchises and re-sign with the Hurricanes according to report by

The 22-year-old, who started on the wing in the All Blacks' narrow win over Argentina, is expected to confirm his future as soon as next week.

According to the report, the talent-drained Highlanders tabled an attractive offer to convince the All Black to join the Dunedin-based side in an attempt to replace Ben Smith, while the Blues are also thought to have made a play for the youngest of the Barrett brothers.

A move to the Blues would result in him joining brother Beauden in Auckland. However, Jordie isn't expected to pack his bags and head elsewhere, ensuring that all three Barrett brothers will play at different Super Rugby sides next year.

Jordie Barrett was also considered an option for the Crusaders, who looked at the utility back as a replacement at inside centre for Ryan Crotty. Barret played a season for Canterbury under Crusaders coach Scott Robertson in 2016 and has been linked ith a move back to Christchurch, where he studied at Lincoln University.

However, despite Crotty finishing up with the team after they completed a three-peat earlier this month, the Crusaders are loaded in the backs and look set to go into 2020 with Jack Goodhue and Braydon Ennor in the midfield.
