Kevin Morgan confirmed for Georgia role

The Ospreys have confirmed that strength and conditioning coach Kevin Morgan has accepted an offer to take up the position of head of physical performance with the Georgian Rugby Union.

Morgan will help the Lelos prepare for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, where they will be Wales’ first opponents.

On his departure, Ospreys Head Coach, Steve Tandy, said: “As Kevin has said, this is a great opportunity for him to step up to international level with one of the up and coming nations having learned his trade as an Osprey. He has been a popular member of staff and will always be welcome back at Llandarcy and the Liberty. We wish him all the best in his new role.”

Morgan has been part of the Ospreys set-up since 2009 when he combined playing for Neath with working in the regional age-grade system, before joining as a full-time member of staff a year later.

He will join up with Georgia later this month.
