Springbok and Lions flanker Kwagga Smith is the latest Super Rugby to sign a deal that will see him represent a Japanese club during the Super Rugby offseason.
The 25-year-old will finish the Super Rugby season with the Lions before joining up with his new side Yamaha Jubilo.
The former Blitzbok Sevens star made his test debut against Wales in June. Smith has featured in all but one of the Lions Super Rugby matches this season and has scored 4 tries.
He has also leads the way in turnovers won with 21.
