Kyle Brown to stay behind in Vancouver

Kyle Brown to stay behind in Vancouver
The Springbok team will have to arrive home one member short as flanker Kyle Brown sustained a chest injury during the Vancouver Sevens Cup final against New Zealand on Sunday, and will stay in Canada on medical advice.

According to the team’s medical report, Brown developed air between the chest wall and the lungs.

“The recommendation, not to undertake traveling to South Africa, is purely precautionary. The doctors have given him a one-to-three-week provisional time frame, so Kyle will not travel with the team to South Africa at this stage,” says Hugh Everson, the Springbok Sevens physiotherapist.
