La Rochelle confirmed the departure of their backline coach Xavier Garbajosa in a short statement on the clubs website.
The club stated that the two parties have agreed to terminate his contract on mutual grounds with Garbajosa set to leave the club on July 1.
La Rochelle's Director of Rugby Jono Gibbes will confirm Garbajosa replacement at the end of the season.
Garbajosa was under contract with La Rochelle until 2021 but will vacate his role at the end of the season with former Ireland International Ronan O’Gara been heavily linked with a role at the Top 14 club with his contract at the Crusaders expiring at the end of the current Super Rugby season.
O’Gara started his coaching career in Paris with Racing 92 before he left for New Zealand.
La Rochelle is currently placed fourth in the overall standings of the Top 14 with two rounds left to play and were beaten by Clermont in the Challenge Cup final last Friday.
