Bevan is moving from the Wales Rugby Union where he was been Interim Performance Director since April 2023. He will join the Tigers before the end of the year.
He will come to the East Midlands bringing a wealth of experience in high performance sport including spells with USA Rugby, Ospreys, Newport Gwent Dragons and the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Bevan said: "I'm delighted to be joining Leicester Tigers — it is a brilliant opportunity for anyone working in elite sport.
"There wouldn't be many other jobs that would make me want to leave Wales, but this is one of the great clubs with a rich rugby history. I'm looking forward to supporting their evolution."
Tigers' Head Coach Geoff Parling said: "Welcome to Huw, who I’m looking forward to working with to help build some solid foundations for success. I knew that this would be a key appointment so it’s great to get someone of his calibre and personality at Leicester,”
Tigers' CEO Andrea Pinchen said: "We are delighted that Huw is joining the club, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into our environment that will drive our men’s, women’s and academy programmes forward.
"In the meetings Geoff Parling and I had with Huw, it became apparent very quickly that we are aligned in our ambitions for the club and to building strong foundations for the future with our academies."
