Leinster Injury Update Ahead of Lyon Clash

Leinster Rugby senior coach Stuart Lancaster issued an injury update today ahead of the squad’s return to Champions Cup action on Sunday against Lyon at the RDS Arena.

Second row James Ryan was replaced with a calf injury in the first half of last Saturday’s interprovincial against Connacht and will be monitored through the week before a final decision is made on his availability.

Joe Tomane made a try-scoring return from a hamstring injury against the same opposition and came through the game with no issues. He will train as normal this week.

Club captain Johnny Sexton continues to make good progress from a knee injury and will look to increase his training load this week.

There are no further updates on Michael Bent (calf), Rory O’Loughlin (shoulder), Rónan Kelleher (hand), Vakh Abdaladze (back), Jack Conan (foot), Barry Daly (knee) and Dan Leavy (knee).
