Lions Watch: Outhalfs
- 6722
In out next installment of Lions Watch, we take a look at Warren Gatland's options at 10.
Jonathan Sexton

The favourite to start against New Zealand at Eden Park for the 1st test. Started all 3 tests in Australia and performed excellently. One of the best in the northern hemisphere and although he's yet to get going this season, come the end of the season it's hard to not imagine him on the plane to New Zealand.
Owen Farrell

Made his first start of the season at the weekend away to Toulon and showed no signs of ring rust. Has really excelled in the past year and will push Sexton all the way for the 10 jersey. Has improved defensively and has added real flair to his game. Gatland is sure to pick him to travel to New Zealand.
Dan Biggar

Like Farrell has really excelled in the last year and had a superb World Cup. The competition is so fierce for the 10 jersey and if selected by Gatland it would really be no suprise. A very intriguing battle awaits.
Finn Russell

Russell has been outstanding for both club and country so it's crazy to think he could miss out on selection but with the fierce competition ahead of him he could struggle to get ahead of Sexton, Farrell and Biggar. Needs a stellar season which he is very much capable of.
Danny Cipriani

An outside shot but with his versatility being able to play 10 and 15 could he sneak onto the plane? Needs to showcase his talent consistently this season but could give Gatland a few headaches. Unlikely shot with not playing for England currently so needs to change Eddie Jones' mind on him firstly.
